Day 2 started out overcast and light rain at our morning meeting. Our Team 5 was riding the 3rd and final leg of today into Aberdeen Washington. By the time we got to our start point about 1230 it was pouring rain and windy. We had to suit up in the rain and head out in between logging trucks. It took us over 3 hours in driving rain with heavy winds. We finally reached Aberdeen and the press wanted to take photos and interview us in the rain. By this time we were completely soaked, cold and miserable but graciously talked to the reporter. Then it took us about an hour to locate our hotel. We all had to remind ourselves why we were doing this in order to prepare for another heavy rain day tomorrow with over 100kms to travel.
